CONVERSATIONS WITH THINGS

Studio Jacob WS24/25

Objects are projections. And that also means that their
meaning is not always fixed. It depends on where your gaze
is projected from. Or whose gaze is projected. Or when that
gaze occurs. In this way objects - and the way we relate to
them - is political. They are framed by issues of class, culture,
identity and context. Things, the materials they are made from,
the forms they take up and the way we interact with them are
relational.
